There is much more than music when it comes to tour planning. Today was Internet, cellular, ISP, hassle day. However once the shouting is over I will be able to stay in touch with all of you on the net. We can have weekly chat sessions and overnight instant messaging. Check back for all the url hook ups.
Sunday 4-6-03
It's planning time. First we start with gathering and collecting, Also known as shopping. You need to have the right goods to tour Europe. You're going to be a long way from home so whatever you forget make it something you can buy over there. You'll need to get the usual Europe items like blow dryers and such once you're in country. So working out all the details and looking forward to the tour. If you have any must see spots or must hear bands in Europe click here to send me a line.

Everything with the flight got off okay. We boarded on time the and the flight was pleasant enough if you like being stuck in a metal tube at 40,000 feet doing some 500 miles per hour. Yes it was pleasant enough although I think every year they make those seats smaller. The inflight film was some Hugh Grant movie mostly unwatchable so the highlight of the 8 hour flight was the long nap I took after just a few Scotches.

Seems like we lost a day. Just a few hours into the tour everybody is trying to get used to the new time zone and get acclamated to the other side of the Atlantic. Our first taste was getting though the airport, Schipel International was welcoming and shiny new, seems like they're constantly building and adding on. Each time we land here the place looks great!
We get picked up by the head of the record company and he takes us first to a small pub for some much needed lunch. It's our first attempt at ordering food in another langauge and boy it is an adventure. A couple guys ordered roast beef but when it came it was bright red with nothing on it, no lecttuce, no tomato, no mayo, just red red beef and a bun. I order a cheese sandwhich...gotta to get some help with these menus or it's going to tough going across the continent. Jan ordered some egg thing on bread...it worked out the best...

Friday 4-25-03
Hello everybody. After a brief look around Rotterdam in the Netherlands, we've been traveling though Denmark for the first week. Great shows in Kobenhaven or Copenhagen as we Americans spell it. Also a fun show last night with Chicago's Magic Slim...lets just say it was a really fun night, there might be details better left alone as the beer was flowing and the natives were very friendly. No one was spared as Jan & Deric, were both 'blonded' as the locals showed their appreciation.
-Craig

Okay...so I wasn't exactly 'blonded'...I mean I am blond!!! And can somebody tell why it is that all boys in a van must talk about girls body parts ALL the time???? Where are the back up singers when you need them...ugh! The show in Silkeborde was Awesome...really great people. The Blues Society that organized the event were super and they made us feel at home. Tak!

We have two days off after three days on at we're staying in the oldest town in Denmark. Here in Ribe we will visit the Viking museum and do a short unplugged gig at a near by pub.
-Craig

I made friends right away with the neighborhood Ribe duck! They got my number quickly and came each morning for some handouts...
